This site is located in N.Sweden within the Abisko Scientific Research station (ANS) managed by the Swedish Polar Institute. Full information on the ANS station is given at the ANS official web page. The Stordalen site is located East of Abisko village. The Stordalen Mire is characterized by discontinuous permafrost with palsas. The vegetation is low herbaceous with mosses and Eriophorum spp.
NordSpec Measurements
Two masts are located on Stordalen, one over the wet part and one over the dryer palsa area. NDVI and PRI is measured from both mast using Skye sensors.
